Every year our family looks forward to the sights and sounds of the Christmas holiday. In our home, this means baking lots of cookies, attending the Somerset Beach Campground Living Nativity, and enjoying Christmas celebrations with friends and family.

Decorating the Christmas tree is a favorite family tradition. We have a few special ornaments that are always placed at the top of the tree. A homemade mini nativity, an angel, and our favorite, the Jesus story ornament. This clear round ornament contains reminders of all that Jesus has done for us. A bit of straw and white cloth to signify his birth, a red ribbon and two nails to represent his death, and a small stone to remind us that He is risen!  Each year our kids love to open the ornament and tell the story as they touch each element. This simple act helps to remind us of the ultimate reason we celebrate Christmas.
