Christmas in October Makes a Difference

Christmas in October

Larry and Katie Winckles, Hungary
The Christmas in October gifts that we received from the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church have blessed us in a couple of important ways. First, we know that we are loved by the church as people and not as projects. We have so many great connections with people in Spring Arbor. It really feels like home to us. And we are thankful that the people of the church care about our well-being.
Second, the gift has allowed us to take a little get-away each Christmas. We are rarely able to be with our families at Christmas time, so instead Katie and I take a 3 or 4-day mini-holiday together just before Christmas. Last year we enjoyed the beauty of Innsbruck, Austria and this year we are planning on visiting Warsaw, Poland. We enjoy the Christmas markets, the holiday atmosphere, and more importantly, the time that we can spend together apart from the daily demands of ministry.

Cindi and Eduardo Angelo, Portugal
SAFMC was actually the first church to send us a special Christmas gift in our 18 years in Portugal. We were very surprised and happy to be able to experience the Lord’s faithfulness through you.
Eduardo and I had not spent the Christmas holidays with our relatives for 18 years, but last December two of our siblings from Brazil, with their spouses, came to visit. We spent a very good time with them over Christmas and New Years and the resources you sent helped us have a quality Christmas with them. We also gave a part of this gift to the missionary Cidá Matos to help her, as well. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us and our ministry.

Please extend our gratitude to the SAFMC family! Last year was perfect timing for this love gift! We were preparing for Noah’s birth and trying to financially save for items needed relating to his birth. That Christmas gift was just what we needed! Thanks so much!! God bless you!

Dale and Dawn Woods, Impact Middle East
Thank you for our Christmas gift last year.  We used the funds for a family evening where we connected with each other and our grown children, which was important because of the amount of travel in our lives. Thank you for helping to make this wonderful family gathering take place.
