Faith Eyes

In this passage “Elisha was more worried about his servant than about the enemies he saw. He thought that the real problem was not what the servant had seen, [an approaching army] but what the servant had not seen.” (SoulShift p. 64) Elisha prayed for a miracle of vision for the servant rather than for a miracle of victory over the enemy.

How’s your vision? Do you see with physical eyes or faith eyes?

Faith eyes don’t dismiss stark reality; they help us see a reality bigger than our issue or trouble. Faith eyes allow us “to simply see what is already in existence, though still unseen to those who live by sight alone. Faith sees through the eyes of the soul.” (SoulShift p. 65)

Faith eyes allow us to see people as God sees them. How do you see that person you are praying for, the one who has troubled you or hurt you? What might God’s bigger reality be for this person? How can you reach toward this person after seeing them with faith eyes?

We’ve got an App for that!
