Don and Deb

I am blessed by the Word that comes from 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

I remember that day and evening so well. I was 23 years old driving from our home, just outside of Olivet to Battle Creek, with my Christian wife, Deb. As we were going by a church, I knew, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, that we had to stop. I don’t remember what the pastor preached, but I had to go forward, ask Jesus to forgive my sins, and pray for salvation through Jesus Christ.

That night I had a dream. I was walking in one direction and I saw Jesus in the distance, to the right of where I was. At that moment I turned and walked towards Him. I was trembling, but I had to know, was I really a child of God? When I was close enough to see His face, Jesus opened His arms to me. I woke up crying –  knowing I was saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.
You may have heard this testimony before. I’ve shared it with many and continue to hand out the written testimony.

My question is: Do you tell others about salvation through Jesus Christ? We don’t know when Christ Jesus will return. Revelation 22 tells us several times, “I am coming quickly.” I don’t know what quickly means in Biblical terms, but I do know we want to see our children and grandchildren and families saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. Tell them about salvation through Jesus Christ!

Pastors, missionaries, and every one of us are able to pray for, and share the message of salvation through Christ Jesus. We are partial to our own families, but Jesus died for the sins of the world. We are all His family. I need to reach out more than ever to those people who need salvation.
