On October 29, a Christmas in October offering will be received to distribute cash gifts to our missionaries who are serving throughout the world.  This is a personal Christmas gift to acknowledge and celebrate the work that they do. Here’s a glimpse at how these gifts are used!

ERIC SPANGLER, Asia Area Director

These last couple years we’ve been the recipients both of the committed support from this church, and also these special Christmas gifts. We often reflect upon how deeply grateful we are for you as our partners.

As a local Free Methodist pastor, I knew that partnership with our missionaries was vital, but now, being on this side of Career Missionary service, the importance and meaning has been magnified!  Can you imagine raising your own support? Maybe wondering if some church or some partners may not continue the next year? It can be unsettling, but generous gifts like this annual Christmas money is a reminder not only of your ongoing committed support, but your love and prayers.

We continue to help our children through their transition to adulthood, and your gift will help. Our daughter Bethany is in her second year of ministry training at Ecola Bible College, and your Christmas gift will help with those expenses. Thank you once again, for the encouraging Christmas in October gift because the kindness and thoughtfulness that is expressed through a gift that is beyond our support.  It says “LOVE” all over it!
