Good Friday Service
Good Friday commemorates the death of Jesus. It most certainly was not a good day, in that, He suffered and died. However, we call it “good” because it proclaims boldly that the death of Christ on the cross conquered sin, darkness and death. On Good Friday, we enter into the story of Jesus, remembering His great sacrifice which led to his glorious resurrection and reign. Good Friday gives us a place to allow God to speak to us about our own lives, about sin, and about the power of grace and forgiveness. We will proclaim His death and look forward to celebrating His resurrection on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017.
This service will begin at Noon and will last for about 1 hour, and will include reflective prayer, singing, scripture and message, and will culminate with communion, after which we will be sent out of the Sanctuary to continue in worship and prepare to celebrate on Easter Sunday.
